There's a lapse in diary entries from 1947 until he starts a new
book, which contains mid-1958-1968, with a few entries in 1969. Highly possible
he kept a diary the missing years but the book/books were lost. During the
missing years, Lester & Eva moved from Drackert St. in Hammond to Olcott
Ave. in the Woodmar area of Hammond, then to Valparaiso where Lester had his
own Studebaker dealership.

Here are some photos of their home on
Birch Lake, which Lester designed. The builder said the bedrooms were too small, and Lester replied, "They don't need to be big. All you do is sleep there.".
Lester apparently bought the diary book mid-year, so 1958 starts in May.
